I wish.
First off all, I just started on some of your products, but at this point I'm at a crossroad. I can either go down the "full RCP" road, or I can change back to the way things was. I do like these products, and the marketing pitch is very good, but my problem is that I live in Norway, and in Norway things are not cheap.
The cost of going down RCP road at the moment seems not to be "worth it", so I'm going to give you a wish list from a guy with a tank >700 Liters.
Is there anything in the future that will be aiming at supplying "larger" tanks? Thanks |

+1 Very nicely said Van! Also I think that big tanks its 'another' battlefield. People who runs them 'know the rules' and are not targets for Red Sea RCP program. Though you can try use their color additives (I'm going to try) using their 'foundation' elements for bigger tanks are out of questions and its not only Red Sea their prices are good compare to some other companies its just whole approach is different with bigger tanks.

Hello,
I forwarded the request for bigger packages to our HQ. I hope that soon we can all enjoy the larger packs for the bigger tanks. I’ll keep you posted and will inform as soon as I know more about it. As for the PO4 kit we did have a problem with some of the kits, the problem was fixed, but there are some kits out there with the problem. Please read this thread of how to solve it yourself: PO4 Test Kit- problem As for the Fe kit\supplement, take 1Litter of tank water and add the supplement directly to it. (With the proper dose) Mix the water well and test after a few minutes. Fe is one of the elements that depletes rapidly from the water, it’s a limiting factor for a lot of processes. Test your aquarium water about 1 hour after supplementing, due to the high demand for Fe it would take a few days to stabilize on the desired level. As for the K test kit, I didn't understand what the problem was. Can you be more specific? Describe what you are doing and what are the results your getting. I'll be more than happy to help with every difficulty you might encounter. Keep me posted, Aviad

My K test is off the charts, and I googled it. On the Zeovit forums, there are several others who had problems with this, and had to use a syringe which is fine, but personally I don't believe my results either way when there is a mistake on my kit, and there would not be a way for me to know whether or not my other kits are in good shape either.
I did dose potassium (K) from Zeo for a while, and doing weekly 10% waterchanges, but having such an excess as the kit shows (doesn't turn purple at all) made me google it, and other people claimed it was faulty compared to other kits. Point is, how do I know how much to dose, while running Balling (with supplements) when the Iron kit shows 0 and the I (0.06) and K (Off the charts) kit shows medium to high levels? The Balling+ is with I, K and Fe integrated in the Ca,Kh,Mg already. I would rather like to know if I can use the Redsea additives instead of the Balling additives since you have not described this, but I suspect it would be about the same. Your ABC is basically the same as Balling or Twopart, Calcium and Magnesium Chloride with Bicarbonate and Magnesium Sulphate? |

Hi,
I wrote about ABC+ here: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=2102630 The K test kit end color is Blue not Purple. The titration has an inverse ratio between the amount of titrant and the K-concentration. The more titrant you use, the less Potassium you have. If the color changes to the end color by the first drop of titrant, it means you have high levels of Potassium. Please consider watching this short video, I hope it will make it easier to understand.(pay a closer attention from 5:30 min. and on.) Happy holidays, Aviad

Hi Aviad,
Point is that I don't dose K, change 10-15% water a week, feed light and don't understand what other source for K there is to make my tank so abundant in this element, which makes me doubt the result as the Fe and P results was not accurate. Happy hollidays to you also! |

Hello, As I understood it the only problem you had was the PO4 dropper. You have low K, since adding more titrant means less K. Did I misunderstand you? How much of the K titrant you added? I think you have the same issue(which is not a problem) with the Fe, as I explained in this thread: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=2104728 Quote:
