I bought one of these (branded differently from an online retailer) and put it on my tank tonight. You mentioned the fan kicks on when necessary. I didn't realize it was on a sensor, the instructions were non existent. Mine has a red switch on the end in the fixture that controls the fan. Press it once the fan comes on. Press it again it goes off. How do you tell when it's in "automatic" mode?

I might be wrong but I think the ones with the red switch might be a older version of the light. The ones I have the fans just comes on every now and then.

I contacted Eshine a few days ago and they said they don't sell to the public and gave me a link to another site. Maybe because I told them I wanted only one light. So they sell to individuals? And how much was shipping?

Do you have any more updates? I was thinking of getting these or some of the 120w ebay models.. Great tank!

I'm very interested in these fixtures. How many would you think I need for a 65g tank ?
Also, on their website I don't see any mention of the 60W Cree being dimmable ? Did you have to buy a seperate controller ? |

![]() Mine is over my 20g so not large area but working just fine for about 8 months now. Corals have great colour and decent growth, but not rapidly. I need a large unit for my new cube after I move and looking at several but so far leaning towards just adding another of these.

I have 2 of the 60w fixtures and added one of these on my 72 gallon bowfront which is also 48" long.

Sorry for the delay in pic posting. Works busy and I haven't had much time to work on them.

depends on what you are trying to grow, for softies, it should be ok but if you want to grow sps, need 2 (kind of like you'd need 2 AI sols.

Everything is growing great, I'm zeroing in on keeping my Alk up now. I'll post some pictures this weekend.
I also have two friends that purchased these lights about a month ago. The new model is even better. The ballast is internal and there is absolutely no heat. Mine has a little heat, theirs' have none. I plan on purchasing one more now to go on my 55g.

I am running both at 100%. I run my blues from 9 - 9 and my whites from 12 - 7. I'm actually in the process of an upgrade. The upgrade is only to eliminate the shadows on the side of the tank. I purchased more eShine Led's. I couldn't be happier with the lights.
What size is your tank?

I think the clam would appreciate it. The coral you have will not be negatively affected. I would try them at full power and see how things go.
