Leak Detector for Apex - Connection
Has anyone had any experience in installing a leak detector to an Apex? The detector I have has no plugs but 2 small gauge wires depending on terminating for a normally open or closed contact.
I intend on mounting on the bottom of the stand simply to detect a water leak. Had one in the past and definitely want to avoid this in the future. If this is going to take a "break-out box" please explain what that is. Thanks |

If it's a normally open/closed contact switch then you will need a breakout box. All the BoB does is give you a way to take up to 6 switches of various types (float, door, water, etc) and connect them to the controller with a single plug. Neptune makes one and there are threads on how to DIY something. There's a write-up in the New User Guide as well on how to do this.

Thanks Alan, I read your guide and it cleared all kinds of questions I had. You explanation of the BoB is a great help too.
