2 - 45 Phoenix Kits

Hey Bill,

Thanks for all your help. It was been a very rewarding experience. I learned a lot and feel like I hit the next evolution of reef keeping.

I programmed my Apex Jr. but it seems like my lights are not fully amp'ed up. The leds are 8.5" above the waterline. Also seems like there is a slight spotlight lighting effect so far.

Any ideas?

8.5" is a little close you have three options.

-Mount the fixture forward and angle it back...Option with the highest PAR

-Raise the fixture...12"-18" above the waterline will work much better for you.

-Remove the optics in the middle LEDs...You will improve the spread but you will lower you PAR.

You can test you lights by disconnecting the APEX and connecting the Yellow and Purple wire on the driver.

I recently did a PAR Test and the Phoenix 45 gave 330PAR at 28" at full power.

Your build looks great hope this helps.

Bill

Can I test the purple and yellow wires directly located in the Medusa, during the day when I should have full power? Also what voltage should I be looking for during the test?
