Alright guys n gals, I just wanted to say thanks again to all or any supporters of the club. As i stated before i find it hard to focus much on getting new people to join STARS without having something worthwhile to join or brag about. So i wanted to let you all know of the few things i want to implement this year.

First off everyone who is or can or has posted needs to keep doing it. Im not asking for random things but this club should be about the members TANKS first and foremost.

Im gonna work on meetings and there most likely will be a late april meeting in EP to get some of the newer people comfortable with attending and get to know everyone better.

My Idea for the meetings is gonna start with FRAG AUCTIONS !!! if you can or cant bring something that is fine. if you can break anything off or have a frag you would like to bring to the next meeting your not limited to just one. the more the better. From there i will hold an Auction for each frag with the bidding starting at a $DOLLAR$. So bring your dolla bills yall, its gonna be fun and interesting.

Any and all money made from this along with the $70 something dollars we already have will go towards buying one or several cool items that will be raffled off to the members of this club AT NO CHARGE !!! the better we make it the better it will end up being, we can hold off and do the raffle meeting at the end of the year, or if we have enough we can do it after a few meetings also. Im thinking RODI Unit, maybe mp40 or LED lighting if we get there but something most anyone can use. even salt, refractometers, test kits, you get the idea.

I would also like to extend my camera and video service to anyone that wants it, im usually all over town so dont be shy or even to go over your tank and see if there is anything that needs to be done or you need help on.

As far as business cards, shirts and website and other things like that, i will get one or some of those things done on my end, i will also be talking to the local stores more to have a stronger relation with them. We need all the support we can get, im not looking for freebies or handouts. just a base for us to have fun meetings and talk some fish.

So thats it for now, just keeping it simple and fun and im always a pm or call away if ya need anything. Ideas always welcome.

this sounds like fun!! i was alos thinking that ti would be cool to have a mini TOTM thing so that more people share their tanks!! imo...

I thought about that also Rafa, we would need some categories and we pretty much have most of our members tanks, if you havent yet post your tank on the FTS thread for now. that goes for everyone.

Wait a minute i didn't see anything conditional in that line that I quoted from you. I believe the key words were "anyone that wants it". I guess I read that all wrong or the context was not right. To bad you feel that way.

It's realy to bad you think I am looking for arguments. So because I live in Deming I am not included in anyone? Or not a member that should be treated just the same as any other member? Please don't falsely offer services to "anyone who wants them" if that does not include all.
I think you also need to remember that STARS is not an El Paso based club nor a Las Cruces based club. It was formed to serve both areas as well
as Deming, Alamo Sunland Park and any other surrounding area in the southwest. I do live in Deming and you should remember that I was the person to form STARS from the get go with the help of others and I don't plan to go away. Excuse me for asking to take advantage of services offered, I didn't understand they were limited services or that anyone didn't really mean anyone.

Well Pedro if you are asking yes there is. Good idea on the frag auction at meetings. The only thing is that you don't get to decide where any money raised is used and what for. That is something that needs to be brought up at a duly called meeting and voted on. Just a heads up on that. I can't see why it would not be a good thing but everyone should be allowed to have a say and that is why the bylaws are in place.
