Day 18 feeding time.
I have done much thinking posting in my own thread with little response. I’m at this point, wanting to show how fast they can grow. I'm a home hobbyist and for me it's something fun to try.

Thanks all of you. I enjoy the reefing hobby and never really planned on doing any breed but when the opportunity presented itself I had to give it a shot. With that being said the pair will spawn again in a couple hours. The female’s tube it down and they are frantically picking at their spawning slate. I’m going to raise those as well and then I’m going to let a few spawns go back into the reef. Just so you know trying to raise this many is hard work when I already work 10 hours a day on my job, I’m needing a break. To bad some of you don’t live closer I’d give you a clutch and let you work for a while. LOL Will post updates later tonight.

Spawn 7 just ended.
I had a poster in another thread that ask how to I protect the eggs. No worries the parents will chase any fish away no matter how big. You will see it in the end of the video.

They had their 3rd week birthday today so I gave them another piece of live rock and a couple turbo snails.

I am also following along. We are in a similar situation, I have averaged 67 hours per week over the last 52 weeks! But since they have decided to spawn so regularly I want to try to raise a batch. Keep up the good work in the thread!

Day 24 no loses.
Over the weekend I had a bit of an ammoina problem which I got under control quickly because there were so many in my 20L. I set up another 10 gallon and move about a 3rd of them. I will have them in a 40 breeder this weekend. The water in the 20 is a still a little cloudy but ammonia is well within the safe zone in both thanks.
Sorry I haven't posted in a while but so busy these days. LOL 20 Yes that is Aiptasia you see....My Bad? http://s1143.photobucket.com/albums/...day24x2-20.mp4 10 http://s1143.photobucket.com/albums/...day24x2-10.mp4

Day 26 grow out time.
Well I have them all back together in their new condo grow out 40B and they love it, eating like pigs. They have only been in the tank about 3 hours. Most are 3/8” + a very few are still about ¼” long.
My last spawn #6, I send home with some of my family that loves the clownfish as do I. Spawn 7 will hatch tomorrow night. http://s1143.photobucket.com/albums/...p5day26got.mp4

Day 28 4 weeks old.
I took these yesterday on day 28. Most are about 1/2" long.

Sport, Great Job!!! Wow! how cool are all of these. I can fully appreicate this now because I know the work that has gone into each and every day. How is the Spawn 7 batch doing so far? Also it appears that you have combined fry from different batches into one tank. Is that correct?
I was wondering because I have the 5 fry from my first batch and was hoping to have more this week. If I have survivors from my first batch can I combine them with my 2nd after the 2nd goes through meta? ~Jo |

ID question for those that really know clown types.
A little off my thread topic but I met a profession clown breeder at the INDMAS frag swap 2 week ago and he had it going on. Was only selling Snow Flakes, Black Ice, Picasso’s and a few Ocellaris. I showed him my spawn 5 thread and he told me the parents looked like they were Mocha clowns and said they were a cross between the percula’s, ocellaris and the black clowns.
Here is a pic of the when I’d had them about 2 months. ![]() What do you think they are?
