No. Kinda pointless since your vortech comes with it's own. Most people wont bother with one if it did exist.

They had stated this on their support forum:

I would not call it pointless. There are quite a few people on their forum and here that ask for one. Using a 3rd party controller can add further possibilities to Vortechs, like having several different flow modes throughout the day or integrate it with other equipment. Three other controller companies offer Vortech control, and the modules are far from being a flop.

Agreed - I'd also add the advantage in simplifying to a single controller for everything. I'd buy it (along with a controller for controllable Koralia pumps - I have both).

wow, what a deal breaker. Even the angel has this control. DA should seriously reconsider this. In a typical day, my vortech's change their flow and programing 20 times. With all our (including me) problems with the Apex, I thought I would take a look. Guess the proflux is the only choice other than a angel.

Very true. I am going to be getting rid of my RKE because of this and especially because of the new life support thing not being compatible with the RKE. It's frankly disappointing.

Okedokee,
Official word from DA...

e: Controller for Vortech Pumps?
by DaveMorris » Mon May 14, 2012 8:42 pm

There are several threads on this forum that address this. No they do not currently have one and no plans have been announced to make one. If they do decide to make a Vortech control module, they will announce it here and/or on their Facebook page.

Just to set the record straight...I do not work for DA. In the post above I was only stating what has been stated numerous times by DA themselves in response to this question.

I know this is an old post but true and important.. I was one of the first 50 or so preorders... (I have been dealing with these liars from the beginning).

I had this problem from the very start and they denied it all the way thru..
After a reactor disaster because of this bug I went to my old Milwaukee standby
And got on the phone with one of Milwaukee's engineers who walked me thru a few simple tests that revealed how bad they designed their system... I am one of the SL2 users waiting for a solution.. I have lost track of how long....

Bottom line.. Stay away from DA period. They are NOT an honest company. Can't comment on other systems yet as I just started researching them. No more madness with this crazy company!

As for "team DA" Really? have anyone EVER seen them say anything objective?

By objective, what exactly do you mean? Would you feel better if we were to bad mouth the company once in a while to show how "objective" we are? The users that are a part of TeamDA are exactly that, USERS. While I will not speak for the others as to why they have chosen to be TeamDA members, I do this because I enjoy helping people get their questions answered. The RKE system that I bought was a part of the first ones sold and I have no complaints. If you have had problems with your system, that is unfortunate. For me, the fact that the SL1 probes are not isolated has caused me no problems. I use a ph probe as well as an ORP probe and I have never experienced any problems with either faulty readings or interferance. Maybe I just got lucky.

I see no reason to bad mouth TeamDA members for trying to help people just because you aren't happy with the DA product. We don't work for them, we just use their products. I hope you do find a controller that you are happy with.

I am not really bad mouthing you.. I am just saying the DA-team is always biased.... maybe you should be..I know I would not be... People are just mad because DA seems to have plenty of time for other things besides fixing bugs in their first system
example: https://www.store.sero-systems.com/p....php?pid2.html

Launch a completely new product-line/company while the junk they sold me sits unable to be used... This naturally generates a level of frustration no?

I realize that all products can have problems but their level of communication is a -5 on a scale of 1-10

Why not offer a refund to all that want one on the SL2? They screwed it up they should own it... instead they lie about defects until they cannot lie anymore and string along their customers for YEARS! Did I type YEARS?
I have no problem with team da as I have seen you guys help alot of people on their forum... Thats cool but unfortunately it makes you APPEAR to support a very horrible company by defending it...
You have your opinion/// I have mine...(plus a sl2 paper weight)

Well I am a big boy and I can certainly take the criticism. As far as refunds or anything like that, obviously that is for them to address. I do agree that I am biased, but that is also why I never comment on other controllers beyond the knowledge that I personaly have with them. I'm not sure I agree with your statement "instead they lie about defects until they cannot lie anymore and string along their customers". I don't think they have lied at all. They have been trying to get it fixed and it is taking too long. While I don't know what is involved with redesigning the probe and/or the SL2, I am sure that they aren't going to put every one of their employees on just that one project. None of us even knows the make up of the company. It may be a completely different group that is dealing with new products.

I like the DA controllers that I have. They have performed for me the way I need them to and that is all I care about. If I can help other people with theirs, then I do. I do not think the company has handled the SL2 issue very well at all, but that is for them to deal with. I disagree with the people who think DA has just blown off the issues and customers needs. I believe that DA will make good on this. If not, then the market of us reefers will certainly react accordingly, as many already have.

My RKE is in a box in the closet as well..
I went with the Neptune Apex system and have not looked back!
The apex works GREAT with my 2 Vortex 40's. I have the apex set to change up the programming 3x a day..

I agree. I also made the change to Apex from DA. Better product and no problems with the modules.

I guess that the people that are still waiting for DA to make a change will realize that they might have to wait for some time...
