Swapping out current sandbed with reeflakes
Hi PA, I sent an email to someone a while ago about the TE reeflakes. I want to swap out my current sand with it and was wondering if you can tell me how many bags I would need to make a 2"-3" sandbed. Tank is 48"x24". Thanks!

Hi Mel, you would want to go with 160lbs for 3" of depth with that footprint. Figure about 120lbs - 130lbs for 2" total depth.

Miniflakes are closer to Aragasnow in size than what they are Reefflakes. Having said that, there is still definitely a difference.
