Too much GAC?

Can you put too much GAC in a reactor that would be dangerous for the live stock?

Current Tank Info: Currently I have 2 tanks - one - FOWLR _ with 4ft undulated moray and small cleanup crew, one 60g cube with softies and happyfish(reefsafe - gobies, etc.)

Unless you are in the school that believes HLLE is caused by GAC.

Well there is dosing directions on the packaging. Not sure if it matters? It says 1/2 cup per 50 gallons. That seems quite small for a reactor.

I'm not sure on that one, but somee brands have substantial fines (black dust on rinsing) and overdoing them can be a potential concern for HLLE. Others, like ROX carbon from BRS seem to have almost no fines, and the risk of overdoing them may be smaller..
