Fans on heatsink

I recently got my kit and got everything put together and I really love the look, but I am curious which way everyone direct the fan on the heatsink. Is it better to have the fan pull air off or push air on? Or is just a matter of taste?

Typically we point them so the fans blow air down onto the heatsink.

Wow, thanks for the quick response. That was what I was thinking but I thought it would be best to check with the experts
