Disco light

Just finished a 14 led light (8 violet, 3 red & 3 green) and as the title speaks for it self. The light is supplementing 2 AI sol blue over 36" long tank. I have a clear splash grd. Not running any optics, light is 12" of surface. Any suggestions. Using 5x11 heatsink, led 2" apart to spread out light. All your pasrts and help were great, I knew zero going in and with your kit worked out great, almost

There aren't that many ways (that I know of) to cut down on the shimmer, other than a) reducing flow/surface agitation in the tank; b) using lenses, which may shoot the light further down into the tank so the shimmer effect would be more noticeable at the bottom and not the top of the tank (to be honest not sure how much a difference this would make).
