Clownfish Symbiose
Guys got a question;
Bought 2 perculas and in the next day bought a soft coral (anemone looking) for the clownfish to symbiose with her, but unfortunaly they dont give a S*** about her...any ideas? Thanks |

Clowns don't normally use corals as hosts. They do on occasion, but not as a regular behavior. Some clows won't even use an anemone as a host. I have a mated pair of percula clowns that have access to 2 nice RBTA and they could care less. Some times it just happens. You may have better luck with an appropriate anemone. But if your tank is less than 4-6 months old, I wouldn't advise it yet. Anemones like mature and stable tanks.

Yeah I've tried the coral route, my clowns never took to any of them. As soon as I put some anemones in they went nuts for em... They won't naturally choose a soft coral as a host...
