critter ID please

Anyone know what this is? When it swims it looks like a octopus or jellyfish... it spreads its tentacles out and quickly pulls them in repeatedly to propel itself..

Chaeto is really hard to find stuff in. I kinda pry through it with a magnifying glass & check it periodically.

I added a ball of it yesterday.. after about an hour in the sump i saw a few of these guys in it so i quickly pulled it out and tore off a tiny piece and thoroughly inspected it.. only putting the tiny piece back in the sump... found another one today (pictured) elsewhere in my sump... looks like i didnt pull the ball fast enough Hopefully they will be isolated to my sump..
