Nashville Area Reef Stores

So what are some good reef aquarium stores to visit? What are some to avoid? I live an hour away from Nashville and want to head down tomorrow. Thanks!

Aquatic Critter is the way to go. They have the largest selection that I know of and I have also had a good experience dealing with them.

I ran by there today after putting in some time at the office and they're closed and cleaned out. When did that happen?

Well that sucks. It leaves pretty slim pickings here in town. I've just about got my water quality back to where it needs to be for sps. Do you frequently sell frags?

Lots of us do sell frags, but keep in mind the Aquatic Critter has always been the best resource in town for an LFS and is on Nolensville road just south of the city.

I drive 2.5 hours twice a month just to go to Aquatic critter. Pet Palace is ok but I have had poor luck with their fish. Corals seem to do ok.

Last trip to AC I got a huge male naso tang and he is like a big puppy dog always coming to your end of the tank to beg for food. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1364637532.573195.jpg

Unfortunately, Aquatic Critter is the only one I would recommend. Fins of Franklin is still open I believe, but the last time I was there they appeared to be on the verge of closing.

Emerald Bay is in Madison. When they were in Bellevue, I used to go in frequently, but all of their tanks had various issues you don't want in your tank.

On Aquatic Critter, their fish tanks appear pristine, but I don't buy any coral from them. Their coral tanks have aiptasia and various forms of algae I don't want in my tanks. It sort of sucks to live in the Nashville area and have a reef tank, there is nothing to choose from.

I am just going with Live Aquaria and Divers Den.
