9011 stopped working

Hello, I have a Tunze 9011 and tonight I noticed it was not working, we took it out of the tank, cleaned it up and tried it again, nothing. It appears the impeller for some reason will not turn. This has only been running on my tank since February 2012. What can I do? I really can't afford another one!

It is under warranty, you would just need to send it in, I suspect however the impeller is just locked up by calcium, this would generally happen after about 6 months if the pump was not disassembled and cleaned. You may be able to get it apart and cleaned up, you need to pull out the impeller with magnet and a shaft should be left behind in the pump, it is possible for the magnet to be stuck to the shaft.
