quick help please
I just got a N. wennerae but it think it is a Gonodactylus smithii now (it has purple spots) i got it for free from a LFS and when I got him home maybe 30 minutes it is on its side just kicking its last few legs. Is it okay or what do I need to do? I have some shells in the acclimation container for it. I just don't want it to die.

I acclimated it for an hour and put it in a large snail shell and put it in the tank. it is just laying on its side doing the same thing. I guess I just have to wait and see what morning brings.

I remember when I found my Ternatensis, he didn't move at all. I was 95% sure he was dead but I just continued the acclimation process and he perked right up in a couple of hours. Just leave your smithii alone and it should be fine. Those are the hardy ones.
I wish you good luck! |
