Sierra Reef

It is with some shame that I post my aquarium here on Reef Central. My English is very bad and my tank very simple.

Are long years in this hobby and my new tank I sought something a little different. Fewer fish, less coral, more space, more scenery.

I had many inspirations here as the reef in the sky and DSPS tank and am very grateful

Was launched in early February 2013. The Aquarium is rimeless with little sand bad, artificial rocks, one skimmer proportional to the size of the aquarium,
t5 + LED, balling and only that, I made a refuge, but I think I'll deactivate it soon.
Here some pictures of the assembly

without water

sump

electric module

overflow

light made by myself

first day. In my country the date is arranged by day / month / year

my bbt

my fishroon :P

2 months

Well, I think the post will get too big, show updates as it is today in the next.
thank you

That is a beautifully clean setup! One of the more sanitary looking setups I've seen here!

Great setup! Question, why are some of your things wrapped in white tape? Is it Teflon/plumbers tape?

Nice! How do you keep everything so clean? I do maintenance on mine regularly but I always have some coralline on the glass here and there at minimum. How about the sand, I did not see any sand sifting fish in the pics, how do you keep it so clean?

Tkz Neuro, make new photos of the sump soon for you. the last one I did is this. I did a quarantine on the left and put the skimmer right. this quarantine is only activated at the time of arrival of a new fish and totally independent counsel with a sump itself when not in use I wash and sterilize it with sodium hypochlorite and re care system, moreover functions as a box exchange automatic water, but my English difficult explanations

i love this leather

no worries, let me try to decipher what you're saying, and i have more questions! fascinated by how you have all of the compartments setup:

1. So your quarantine also acts as a salt-mixing area?
2. Is your reservoir is the upper right container-area?
3. You're using some kind of filter for the drain, at the end. Is that cotton or something?
4. I also see filter media in the bottom right compartment. What kind is that?
5. What kind of dosing container is that on the right?
6. How difficult is it to get to your skimmer?
7. Where are your probes, if any?
8. Where are your power wires? Are they in the back side, and then routed to the top of the sump area and then out to the power module/station area?

sorry for the barrage of questions. really interested in how you have everything setup.
also

no worries, let me try to decipher what you're saying, and i have more questions! fascinated by how you have set up all of the compartments:

1. So your quarantine Also acts as a salt-mixing area? yes, when the quarantine is disabled it acts as an exchange and is integrated into the system for this function

2. Is your reservoir container is the upper-right area? yes, exactly, is linked to that a RO / DI

3. You're using some kind of filter for the drain, at the end. Is that cotton or something? Yes, something like that. here called perlon. sometimes use shark bag too.

4. I also see filter medium in the bottom right compartment. What kind is that? Yes, it is Siporax (SERA) 32 liters

5. What kind of dosing container is que on the right? I did it myself. is glass, there are 3 to my system balling

6. How Difficult is it to get to your skimmer? this is something that bothers me, of a certain job to take it over. to remove the cup is easy.

7. Where are your probes, if any? do not use, do not like the truth.

8. Where are your power wires? Are they in the back side, and then routed to the top of the sump area and then out to the power module / station area? exact

sorry for the barrage of questions. really interested in how you have everything setup.
Also
Thanks for the interest and I can help just ask.

some shots

Regards
