BioTek Marine PAR Sensor Update

We are pleased to announce that the BioTek Marine BTM3000 PAR sensor PC and Mac software are now complete. The PC version has been available for a few weeks now and as of today the Mac version is ready. Tomorrow morning you will see a link for both. Visit www.biotekmarine.com for more information about the BioTek Marine product line and where to purchase BioTek Marine products.

More advanced easy to use software and at much better price point than the Apogee MQ-200 PAR meter. Also coming soon, the BioTek Marine PAR sensor wand.

I purchased this product and downloaded the mac version of the software and when i tried to open it it tells me i can not use the software because i am running mac os x 10.6.8 and that the application requires mac os x 10.7 or later. so you mean to tell me i have to purchase the latest mac software to run this because i am using a older mac computer?

The BTM3000 PAR Sensor is compatible with Snow Leopard and anything newer than Snow Leopard (basically Macs that can use the app store which is probably 95+% of Mac users), and the PC version works with Windows XP and up.

Would extending the USB cord distort PAR readings?

If you are asking if we are exploring a version with a longer cable then yes to that. The other option would be to use a USB extender cable up to an additional 15 feet. After 30 feet a signal boosting cable would be required. Any of these options shouldn't effect accuracy.

Thanks,

Where can you order BioTek products at? Reactors, Sumps, PAR Sensors etc? I can't find any online dealers except for the PAR Meter only, no prices or ordering info on the BioTek WebSite
