My small 10G SPS pico reef

Hi Guys,

Just to share my small tank with you guys. This tank is running for about a month.

The tank is very simple, a box of water , a heater and temperature controler, an aquaclear 200 with matrix inside, MP 10 with battery and Hydra 52.

Iīm doing 20% water change every weekend and sometimes I add one drop of zeo AA. Thatīs all.

Letīs see if I can grow this frags keeping the same routine for a year.

Maybe I will need to add ca and ra in the future.

Some pics :

Best Regards

Looks gorgeous! You're making it look way too easy in that small of a tank ha.

How do you plan to handle surface skimming? My son has a similar setup, but the aquaclear draws water from well below the surface and as a result he gets a build up on the surface. There used to be places where you could purchase a surface skimming retro-kit for the aquaclear, but we can't seem to find such kits these days.

I donīt have this problem yet....the water is pretty clear in the surface right now..I think the MP 10 is doing the job mixing the water surface

But is possible to suck the water surface if you see that are a lot of stuff in there

Best Regards

How would you solve the surface skimming issue?

I've looked and these seem to be the most popular. There are others based on PVC, but look too messy.

Looks too bulky

Again, too bulky

I’d like to buy one of these, but can’t seem to find it available.

Do you have anything else to suggest?

Wonderful nano Denadai. Liking the selection of acropora, porites and stylophora, and the general look and approach to the system.

Ive always been drawn to small systems like these. In a way they're an expression of the purest form of reefkeeping. It's just between the corals and the reefer, his/her experience, husbandry and the minimum equipment it takes to grow and keep the animals thriving.
