The Mid-Atlantic Marine Aquarists Society (MAMAS) would like to invite the 4th Annual 2016 Mid-Atlantic [I]Removed by RC Staff[/I] (MAMAX) located in Chesapeake, VA on October 8, 2016 from 10:00am-4:00pm. MAMAX is a charitable fundraising event for reef related causes. Proceeds are donated to a charity selected by you, the attendees.

MAMAX is an opportunity for reef aquarists in the mid-atlantic region to come together for a day of saltwater hobby exposure, education, conversation, contests and family fun. With over 30 vendors from across the country, raffles, a kid zone, presentations and contests throughout the day, we have something for everyone.

General admission is just $8 online until 10/1/2016 and kids 12 and under are free. You can purchase tickets at the door the day of for $10. Limited quantities of VIP tickets will be available as well! VIP tickets get you into the event a FULL HOUR EARLY at 9am before general admission to meet vendors, cherry pick coral and pick up exclusive deals. You’ll also get a t-shirt, MAMAS stickers, 25 Raffle tickets as well as vendor swag and exclusive deals!!!!! That’s a $75 value for only $45.

MAMAS, a charitable organization based around sustainability, would like to announce our recent collaboration with local VA artist, Reba McConnell. MAMAS commissioned 2 paintings to help raise money for this year's fundraising efforts, that we will be using on shirts and fine prints available at MAMAX in October. Please note these are only mocks, but we’re working with one of the best screen printers in the area to produce these shirts with a high leave of detail. Shirts should be available in approximately 2-3 weeks.

We're taking preorders for a limited quantity of $30ea (includes shipping) and after which they will only be available at MAMAX. All proceeds benefit marine charities like The Coral Reef Foundation and The Coral Reef Alliance. If you would like to show your support and preorder a shirt before the show or can’t make it to MAMAX, please message me with your email address. We’ll send an invoice and get all your information. This morning's estimates have Matthew hugging the coast but far south of the Hampton Roads area on Saturday. Our vendors are on board and we sold a bunch of tickets yesterday so we know you are too! We have plenty of room this year for seating, lunch, presentations and the raffle so come join us rain or shine!
