Do I need water changes if...

My nitrates are undetectable, my phosphate it .07 via Hanna, my corals and cheato are growing, and I'm dosing component +1,2,3. My Alk is consistently at 7.6 and I have not added any new corals since I started. I don't need to water change for nutrient export and I can increase or decrease my phosphate by adding or decreasing pellet feeding for the inhabitants.

What would be the value or benefit of doing a water change?

You should be ok, I have not done a water change in a month or so, really only because my RO membrane needs changing(clogged) and the water takes forever to make, so I have not done one in a month or so. I do not think it will hurt, but something about fresh water changes yields a great response from all the animals in the tank. Just observe and if you see any negative things happening, do a decent water change

+1. I agree though, things seem happier with regular waterchanges vs letting it go a few months. Replenishing trace elements as well as increasing ORP probably has something to do with it.

I'm new to the ORP acronym. I'm replenishing with Aquaforest component +1,2,3 so I suspect I'm getting trace elements. Plus now that my sps and LPS are growing I have to slowly increase my balling salts to maintain. I have a bucket of Red Sea pro but every time I do a water it takes time for my dosing to replenish the trace minerals.
