new duncan frag, why so many heads?
So, I just bought a small duncan frag from CL fellow and its been in my tank for an hour getting settled in. My question is why does this little guy who is only perhaps nickle size across have 5 heads? When I it bought for $20, I didn't think about it. But now I'm asking why would it sprout so many heads when its this small? Was his tank taking a slow nose dive and the mother colony is reacting to that? It wasn't fully open when I bought it but he said it was because he just turned the lights on. Am I over thinking this or is this how duncans propagate?

Perfectly normal. That's how they grow.
