Pseudomonas issue
Hey guys...I believe I have a pseudomonas bacterial infection and it has spread to all of my tanks. I believe that the source was either from the business where we recieved our pacific white shrimp or the shipment of the animals put stress on them and it is from their gut flora. It is the pseudomonas that turns all of my airstones and airlines pink and filter sponges pink.
Does anyone have any information about psuedomonas and how it will effect my shrimp? water quality? Cheers in advance. Sam |

If it is a marine system (obviously) it is likely to be a Vibrio sp. Although there are many pathogenic species if everyone is still alive it is nothing to worry about and should clear up on its own particularly if you can lower your dissolved organics by skimming or GAC. The most common species of marine bacteria is Vibrio.
