Help: Nitrate / Phosphate Test Kits

I've been using the Red Sea Pro test kits for the Big 3 for along time.

I just installed 4 liters of Seachem Matrix in a Aquamaxx XL Biomaxx Pellet Reactor running a slow 30 gal and hour and want to watch to see if it colonizes enough anaerobic (nitrate-eating) bacteria.

For you guys that are running (ULNS) which Nitrate / Phosphate kits do you recommend for the best accuracy?

Are the Red Sea Nitrate / Phosphate kits accurate with the color wheels?

Any input regarding (Pros and Cons) per test kit would be greatly appreciated!

Regards, GoVols

If you want true accuracy Hanna is the way to go. I use to use salifert for phosphates and it always showed zero phosphates. Until I got a Hanna and that was not the case.

Do you use the Hanna nitrate checker too?

I use Salifert for nitrates and ULR Hanna checker for phosphates. These two seem to be the most accurate combination
