Vectra M1 set up-output
Can I thread on and use 1" PVC for output vs using the provided coupled which uses 3/4"? How does this affect power consumption and the headloss curve?
Thanks!

You need to use the M1 BSP to Sch 40 Slip Adapter Kit sold on the ETM website.
Then use a bushing to reduce that fitting down to 1" pvc. Standard american pvc threads don't match. Using the blue collar narrows it down to 3/4" and you will have less flow.

Thanks for the help! Is the headloss curve on the box representative of the pump with 3/4 inch effluent plumbing? I can live with that but if it's 1" or 1.25" then that's what I'd like my outgoing plumbing to be. I can imagine they'd represent the flow one way then supply parts with the pump that immediately increase headloss?
Thanks again!

You know, I can't say for sure, but I thought I read somewhere that testing and published flow data was with the optional pvc fittings, not the blue collars.

Hmmm. I thank you sir! I'll await their input or give them a try tomorrow. Thanks! I'm running the new Synergy Reef Shadow which is rated to 1500 gph with about 5 or 6 feet of headloss, so I'll be cutting optimal flow rate pretty close according to their curve. I'd obviously like to maximize efficiency of pump to over flow rates.

120, 140 gallons total. I won't be looking for that much turn over. I'm going to be running a small manifold off of it too. Calculated usually doesn't end up equal real output. I can always throttle it back. But the overflow should match the pumps capabilities, worst case.
