Heartbeat

I set up and saved the heartbeat function but don't get any notification when connection is lost. What type of notification should it be, txt or email? And where to I check what contact info the apex fusion knows?

Were you disconnecting it from the network and thinking that you'd get an alert immediately?

It can take 30-45 minutes before an alert is sent out by design.

I'm out of town and it's been disconnected for 12 hours so far! Somehow the wifi connection must have been interfered with. Shouldn't that trigger an alert?

If "heartbeat" has been setup, you must then click on the drop down at the top right of the fusion screen(which the drop down should be your username).

Then click on settings.

Then click on notifications.

Then click the "+" and add your info.
(Ex: I selected "Verizon" and then added my phone number for a text message)

That's it...

It had my info but I still didn't get disconnected txt. Tried the test feature and got test message, very weird. Deleted my info and re-entered, also set up for email warning in addition to txt warning.

I'm guessing you know it's been disconnected because you can't access it on Fusion or remotely?

Assuming your alerts are set up correctly, which it sounds like they are if you tested them, the only thing I can think of is you're experiencing intermittent disconnect issues. It connects just long enough and at the right times for Heartbeat to see it and think it's OK, but not long enough for the times you're trying to connect to it.

It's now 4 days since I was last able to connect and still no heartbeat notification. I've tried many many times throughout the past 4 days to access. I'll be home tomorrow and will hard wire it to my router. Then I'll talk to Neptune customer service and see what they say about not receiving notification.
