ORP probe - shelf life and probe grades

Hello,

Today I received a Neptune Lab Grade ORP probe from an online retailer. The probe is labeled Jan 16 and there is NO fluid in the plastic cap.

Do the probes have a shelf life and should I return the probe if it is completely dry?

Also, what is the difference between a Double Junction Lab Grade, Lab Grade and Standard probe?

And is there an easy read to understand what value I get from measuring this? It's the one probe I have no idea what to do with the readings provided.
