125 FOWLR Stocking
Hello,
I have an Aqueon 125 gallon (72x18x23) (FOWLR) with a 38 gallon sump with 2 filter socks, a simplicity 240dc slimmer and a refugium. The pumps are turning the tank over 6 to 8 times an hour. Here is what is in the tank now, 2 ocelaris clowns 4 green chromis 2 lyritail anthias This is what we want to add... 1 flame angel 1-3 tangs (recommended combinations?) 1 emperor angel 1 niger trigger Would it be possible to add another "speciality" fish or two? Like a butterfly or a wrasse? Or what suggestions would you have? Thanks, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If you want a tang I would add a bristletooth tang. The emperor angel and niger trigger grow too large for your tank

If you get that Emperor Angel, get a small 2" if possible. The size of your Flame. Then you can probably enjoy it for a few years and watch it change over to adult color before it outgrows your tank. They grow so darn fast.

and only 2 tangs max. Yellow tang, Kole, Tomini, Mimic, Lavender, and Scopas should be your only options.

For the tangs I have heard that convicts can be very happy in groups of three or more, but I have no experience with them myself.
Your tank is too small for any trigger As for the emporer angel I dont know, but ill bet a small one would be fine.

No large angel should be in a 140 gallon tank. Especially an angel as aggressive and dominant as a emperor. A trio of dwarf angels instead would be nice

Maybe a matta tang. I have one and is always constantly swimming around the whole tank. They have some personality but grow super fast

I dont know about mixing angels, but live aquaria says 220 for emporer angel so 200 would probably be fine.

First of all, this really should be in its own thread. Second of all, it depends of the dimension. I would say at least an 8 foot tank for the emperor
