Noticed somthing on my flame angel
Hi Guys,
I was looking at my flame angel and noticed one-two tiny white specs on him and the area around this spine on his gill looks different. What does this look like to you and if so should i be doing anything to treat my tank? Im hoping im just being paranoid but if it is I'm sure its better to catch anything early. Ugh appreciate the help in advance! |

Any ideas? He still eats like a pig and is very active... his behavior has not changed at all.

Well a local reefer help me diagnose it as Lymphocystis which is very common in angel fish apparently. Apparently it is usually not lethal and goes away on its own as long the fish eats well and you provide a stress free environment. I'm happy to report my angel is doing well in the grown near his gill is almost gone.

If it is Lympho, it is usually caused by stress and poor water quality. Soak food in something like Selcon. Yes it usually does go away on its own.

Water quality is good... I'm sure it was just the initial move that probably stressed him out.
