Three year mark video. Take a look at reef.

It's been a year since I posted anything in this forum. Yup I'm still around and still reefin'. Take a look at my reef at the three year mark.

Gorgeous. How much sunlight does it get? Love it being in a glass conservatory end!

Not as much as you would think. The lighting on the top blocks most of it.

What direction does it face?

The room faces south. The front of the tank sees almost no direct sunlight. The back gets much more during the winter when the sun is low on the horizon.

I'm designing a conservatory tank facing south also, but mine is intended to be solar lit. I'm in Dallas so we get a lot of sun.

No plants, fences or even lights.

Your location should help a lot.

Yes. The sun angle is very low in the north.

A lot of potential for shadowing and your light would primarily be coming in through the tank sides.
