So is this one:

Both are named Rainbow, one's a digi and the other encrusting.

As far as Acros go I love this one, Pink Floyd:

And, this was the day I brought it home so it looks a little frumpy, but it's stunning!

The newer, high dollar stuff does not usually keep it's high price for long. It will grow and thrive and come down in price, or the hype (photoshop) will wear off an demand will fall. Fox Flame is $40 bucks a frag around here. There is a local store that cannot even sell WD once people see it in person and not photoshopped.

The old school stuff that is hard to keep seems to go up in value over time slowly. Purple Monster is the ultimate example. Pearlberry. The stuff that does not thrive under LEDs also keeps it's value pretty well... like the really nice Milles.

Oh... don't ever pay a lot for a monti. Everybody can grow them, it takes skill to kill them, they grow fast and they are a few dollars a frag after a while. The super high dollar monti of today is the superman or rainbow monti of tomorrow.

Couldn't agree more. Best is a relative term and perspective. To me, I would be ready to pay top dollar for true Oregon Tort, Purple monster, Pink Panther anyday over Walt Disney tenuis or Homewrecker.
The more challenging it is the more pleasure you get out of it. Keeping tenuis like the new high dollar ones of Walt Disney or Homewrecker colorful is far less challenging than keeping a classic Pink Panther or Purple monster just alive !!!

Regards,
Abhishek

Would love that they would be so cheap in Europe but the problem is you cant even find them here .. why its so hard to keep those corals like purple monster and stuff ?!

Some pics of the OG and new fangled stuff discussed above.

True Oregon tort

OG Purple Monster

Pink Panther. Newly acquired nubs. Set it down near the PM. It'll be an eternity before this one gets to even mini colony in size, but gotta start somewhere.

Pearlberry

WD

Homewrecker
