New Apex and a few questions

So i have had the classic unit for years.

I am looking to upgrade to the new apex and its features.

Since it doesn't come with a display any more and it seams u can get like a amazon 7" tablet for $50.....has anyone gone that route...or wish they didn't?

AFS ...does this use a outlet on the EB832 or just use the 1link ports or the 24v Acc port??

Thanks

The AFS is powered via Aquabus. It does not use an outlet or 1LINK port or ACC port

There's a thread here on folks using Amazon tablets for displays with mixed results. I've been using an old iPad, it works pretty well except occasional timeouts of the app during data entry.

You can use the display from your classic.
