Any one ever....

Place their skimmer in the Dishwasher?

Would love to hear any experiences out there.

I may be wrong but I'd be worried about the water temperature since these are only built to run below 90 degrees f. The plastic may be able to handle it a few times but I would think with increased dishwashing water temp, you may fatigue the structure?
And if you use the dryer feature? You may wind up with a new design you might not like?

I could be wrong but it's just what came to mind.

I have a dishwasher in my fish room. I do not use the heated-dry option, but otherwise, it cleans stuff nicely. I just use a bit of muratic acid or straight water to clean stuff, not any soaps and stuff.
