Help picking a return pump for my first manifold build
I am having trouble figuring out how strong of a return pump I would need.
Display tank will be 40g Sump will be 20g Head height from sump to display will be about 4ft -Trying to turn over the display 10x would be 400gph -I am also trying to run about 150gph through my UV sterilizer ran off a manifold T'd off of the return line. -looking to split into 2 return nozzles before the display. Possibly a small reactor may be added sometime in the future if need arises. Would an adjustable DC 845gph be sufficient for this setup, too much or not enough flow? Also is it ok to point the manifold connections upwards to run to the UV sterilizer? Or should I mount the UV under the manifold and run it downwards. I attached a diagram of what I'm looking to do. This will be my fist manifold build so and advice or anything I should change input is appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have to orient my UV vertically otherwise it traps air.

Input bottom, output top. That way any gas buildup is prevented.

A small reactor will probably need ~250-300GPH or so..
So I'd shoot for the 1000GPH range after head losses.. Jebao DCP-4500 maybe
