Help please - corals dying
Salt 1.025
Temp 80F Alk 11.2 Cal 460 Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 0 My hammers all started receding badly, can barely see the color in the bottom of the skeleton, but they open a little when the lights go out. My clam stays fully closed and opens a little after light go out. My frogspawn, galaxia, starburst, zoa's, toadstool, and Duncan's look great. Any ideas and what I can do?? |

What corals are next to each other? There might be some warfare occurring. I'd do some water changes (20%) and add some carbon for the time being.
Those parameters are acceptable as is, although I'd get second opinions on them if that's not too difficult. Measurement errors, even for SG, are somewhat common.

The hammers are about 4" but are small. They are about 6" from a large frogspawn.

Galaxia can be a terrible stinger.

I have the galaxia way at the top left of the tank because some years back it killed one of my frogspawns. Learned that lesson the hard way.

You might also consider reducing you ALK, it's on the higher side,

U would really need to be more specific but large water changes are the first thing I would do if things started looking bad. U don't say but I assume u are using good source water or have your own rodi.

The frogspawn might be putting out sweepers the way the Galaxea did. I might try checking that. You might be able to see the sweepers at night.
