Refinish Wood Floors around Tank
Hi, Everyone.
Just curious if anyone has been in a situation where they need to refinish their hardwood floors in their house where they had a reef tank. Not doing this anytime soon, but I do in the future plan on re-doing my floor and was wondering if anyone was able to do this and mitigate any risk of it harming the tank. Thanks, Joey |

depending on the finish water based or oil based would make a big difference.
to prevent any issues I would add extra carbon day before, turn off any air injector sources example skimmer, air pump etc preform regular water change asap once you can walk to the floors. thats what i did and i had no issues |

We refinished our floors last year. It was all fine. The trick is to use a low-VOC (preferably zero VOC) stain and finish. As dorry said, activated carbon is a good idea. Good luck!
Oh, and cover the tank to keep out the dust!
