Hi Gandolf8,

When the Monitoring and Bin lights are flashing, it usually means that the failsafe level sensor in the RO bin (this should be the highest sensor) has "seen" water. This could be because the water level has risen to the failsafe level sensor without raising the float on the ROCv Max Sensor, or the failsafe sensor is mounted at the same level (or lower) as the ROCv Max Sensor. If the failsafe sensor is not mounted higher than the ROCv Max Sensor, move it up so that it is at least .25" higher than the ROCv Max.

However, if the failsafe sensor is already higher than the ROCv MAx sensor, check to make sure that the float on the ROCv Max Sensor can move freely along the shaft of the sensor. Also, make sure the sensor is mounted as far back into the slot on the sensor shroud as possible. If it isn't, the float might possibly be hitting the cover on the shroud and not moving up with the water level. If this happens, the RO bin will continue to fill until the water reaches the failsafe sensor, at which point in time the STORM will turn stop the flow of water into the RO bin to prevent a flood. It will flash the Monitoring and Bin lights to let you know that something is not right - and it will suspend refilling the RO bin to make sure that no water ends up on your floor.

Please let me know what you find; I really think one of these checks will reveal the issue, but if it doesn't please let us know.

Have a great evening,
Kevin

Hi gandolf8,

When the Monitoring LED is flashing by itself, that just means that the unit has been paused by the user. Simply press the yellow button and release, and it should resume normal operation.

By the way, there's a comprehensive list of the indicators and their meanings in the Installation and Use Manual, which you can download from our website. It's pretty good at helping guide you along when you encounter an error - but of course I'm happy to help too!

Have a great weekend!
Kevin

gandolf,

We can't help you very well when you don't provide detailed information, such as your previous post. Please contact us through the contact page on our website and we'll be happy to provide you the same outstanding support we provide all of our customers.

As I indicated above, the flashing indicators you described are due to the Failsafe Sensor being triggered before the ROCv™ Max Sensor.

Which indicator around the AUX MODE button is illuminated?

Kevin
