Daddi0's Garage Reef

Figured it was about time to start a thread on my garage reef system. We started 8 months ago with a broken Lifetech 60g that we repaired. In 8 months everything has gone fantastic. Here is a breakdown of our current system:
- 60 gallon display tank. Eheim 300 watt heater, 3 x 1,300 gph wavemakers, t5 lighting
- 30 gallon cryptic refugium plumbed into DT with 1 x 1,300 gph wavemaker
- 30 gallon sump with skimmer and chaeto chambers.
- We have a mix of approx. 100 corals, 5 fish, some inverts and 2 huge Brittle Stars in the cryptic.
We have about 200 lbs of rock in the system, crushed coral sand in the dt, and run an ATO juiced up with Kalk/vinegar

So as we saw in the previous pic. I am out of space for corals. The plan is to finally set up my Oceanic 58g. It is going to have a CPR 90 overflow box that will make use of my current sump, so basically all 4 tanks will be plumbed together. I ordered a new Aqua-lifter, 40 pounds of argonite sand, a new Eheim 150 heater, and a couple 1,300 wavemakers. I have and extra t5 fixture and will work on getting some cheap rock.
Cheers! Mark

80#s of sand in and lettin' it run for a couple weeks untouched (unless I find some cheap rock) Because this tank is plumbed with my other tanks, I am a little worried that I lost my stability. I know my dosing has changed. When I turned on the second tank, it cut my carbon in the water by 1/2 and not sure what effect 80 pounds of argonite sand will have on my calc, alk, mag, and strontium levels.
Cheers! Mark

Picked up a couple buckets of Marco rock from fellow RC member @d0ughb0y and set up a basic wall. We wanted as much sandbed in front as possible, fairly tall to make the best use of out the t5 lighting, and a lot of flat space on the top for frags.
The tank is starting with the "uglies". A little bit of brown and a lot of bacteria from the vinegar dosing. Nothing that a little time wont cure.
Cheers! Mark
