Going from LED to hybrid w/ T5 Giesemann--Acclimation needed?

Hey guys, I'm semi nervous, I've ran AP700 for years now (maybe 3 years) and I am taking the plunge and supplementing w/ a 36'' Spectra that will be tank mounted (I will not be wall mounting or hanging). I notice that the Tank mount will move my AP700 a bit closer to the water, maybe 3 inches closer (it's about 7 inches above water now).

I am asking in people's experience will I need to reacclimatize everything?
Can T5 bleach? I won't be able to dial the intensity of the T5s since it's not dimmable but I'm planning on dialing down the LED for a little bit but not sure what the safest way is to not fry my corals that are already there--thank you!!!!!

Any advice is appreciated. Right now my set up is at 75% on the AP700.

It is probably not a bad idea to attempt to adjust your lighting some depending on many variables one certainly being the amount of money invested in the corals in your tank..

I think dialing down the LED for bit is a very simple process that likely won't hurt.
Maybe drop 10% from it or so..

I switched from a Mars Aqua 300watt to t5s and had no issue.
Cheers! Mark

Ah good. Thanks man. Has anybody considered when acclimating the lights to go just two out of the four then adding the other two after a period of time?

I would just turn the leds down a bit and ramp them back as things settle
Cheers! Mark
