The price for the Salifert Nitrate and Phosphate test kits is $5.00 higher on the MarineDepot site that any other vendor I checked - $20.00!! I know they were not nearly this high last time I ordered. What gives?

The manufacturer raised their prices substantially. I think this raise is justified, and I am very surprised they had not done so sooner. Most likely, this due to the high cost of the Euro, and just basic supply and demand economics. They are perpetually out of stock. I'm sure that once everybody sells through their old stock, they will be raising their prices very soon. Due to our high stock turnover, our stock just turned a bit faster than for most.
If there is a price drop in the future and supply increases then we will also drop the price accordingly.

Your explanation makes sense. I just ordered Seachem instead - I know Salifert is good, but this increase puts them out of my price range. Thanks.

I'm glad things worked out for you. Hopefully, our economy will improve, and we'll have a more sensible exchange rate soon.
