ID Help - plant/macro from S. Florida?

I always see this stuff around on the shore, and have been trying to find out specifically what it is (besides what everyone around here calls it... seaweed crap). Can anyone here ID this?

sargassum sp. most likely S. natans.
if you got it off the beach, it's already dead/dying.

Thanks Rick. I had a suspicion that it might be a sargassum of some sort, but I couldn't find a picture that looked exactly like it.
