Question Phosphate

which filter gets out the po4's is it the membrane or di . i am trying to get all my po4's out but can't seem to get below .02 from my ro/di unit using my Hanna photo meter. i am using the SP-DI-SOLID for my di cartridge!

thanks, ken.

The membrane should remove up to 98% of the PO4 and the DI should pick up the rest.

I'm not sure what a Hanna photo meter is and I'm not sure what the SP-DI-SOLID cartridge is, without knowing which of our distributors is renaming which one of our carts. (OR if it is even a genuine SpectraPure product!)

I found out what a Hanna photometer is. Please check the lower limit ability of that tester. I don't think it can go all the way down to zero. 0.020ppm is 20 parts per billion, which is considered laboratory-grade water quality. The DI-SB-10 is the best single cartridge configuration we offer. The only thing better is our two-cart system, which is a DI-SF-CI-10 followed by a DI-AR-CI-10.
Until you can prove to yourself that your tester can resolve less than 20 ppb, I think you are OK.

Not to be picking nits or trying to give myself an out, but the relevent spec here is the accuracy being +/- 0.04 ppm. That means your 0.02 reading is as likely to be 0.00 as it is to be 0.06. Temperatures other than 68 deg F. will alter the reading.

Regardless, it looks like a nice piece of test gear and should serve you well.
