I have searched everywhere trying to find a pic that matched this macroalgae but with no luck. I got it from my LFS for $3. He just called it a red algae. I assume it is some sort of valonia judging by the bubble look, but does anyone know what type? Thanks...

Hey KillerReef. Check out Horge's bubble algae article here. He identifies it as Botryocladia skottsbergii.
I will move this to his forum on Reefkeeping to make sure.... This thread has been moved to the current forum.

I wouldn't have paid $3 for that thing, but whatever. I can't tell what it is, though.

Hey, Horge missed this one!
Better late than never, so... The angle of the shot makes me think it's Scinaia rather than any of the Botryocladia algae. Just filling in for Kuya horge
