Reef Temp?
An Aquacontroller is in charge of the lights and temp. of my 10 gallon nano reef. The internal programming is set for 76 degrees. I have been reading that most set their tanks much higher. Should I reprogram the reef for 77 or 78 degrees? Does it really matter?

Everyone has an opinion on temperature. The current thought is to maintain the temp around 80-81. I keep my reef at 77 and have not experienced any difficulties. With higher temps comes less dissolved oxygen, a higher metabolism for the inhabitants, and a higher algae growth rate. It's probably more important to maintain a steady temp, whatever the number is.
