bulb change/acclimation?

Is it necessary to slowly introduce a new bulb of the same wattage? Should I add some screening or raise the fixture?I'm going from a 6500k to a 14k. I'm thinking I should'nt have to, but I just want to be sure. It arrive from Marine Depot today and I was planning on just swapping it in the morning before the light comes on. I will not be home for the first 4-5 hours or so after it fires up, and I'm not wanting to come home to some cooked corals.

Thanks, Keith

No need to acclimate MH of same wattage. I've switched from 10K to 20K and back to 14K w/ same fixture with no obvious signs of stress. I only acclimated by time when going from PC to MH.
