Newbie. Just checking in

Just a new guy checkin' in.

Hello to dad300- thanks for the link.

I'm from Calais/St.Stephen and looking to start up a tank once a couple of personal things are cleared up. 200 gal (ish) reef tank.

I had one started when in St.John's 35 odd years ago (military) now I am hunkered down here.

I love that area! I will be heading up to Machias in a month or so to visit and relax. I would have to say my favorite beach by far is Jaspar Beach, and the hike around Quoddy Head is amazing!

new tank project

Well if this gets to go as I want it to, the tank has grown to 330 gallons with 100-150 gallons in the sump. Tank gets to be 60"(L) X
36"(W) X 36"(H). There's a perfect place to fit it into. The sump is a large fish tote in the basement with smaller totes inside with spacers
to set the water levels. Need to find a good place to get acrylic.

Floor needs some help of course (100 year old house)

I think this aquarium stuff could be like software (expands to use all available resources)

Any way it is started now

Welcome! I'm relatively new here, too, and this is a great bunch of people.

That tank sounds like it's going to be something! Post some pictures as it's coming along. I'd love to see how it progresses.

new tank project

Want to build. Nothing too hard about building, just have to plan and plan. Like Bob Vila says "cut twice-measure once"
