Exclamation 1st Day Nano!! recomendations

I got my 12g JBJ Nano today in the mail. I set it up already. Put live sand in it and its all good right now. I put in a powerhead 301 from my old tank along with the power head that is already in one of the chambers. I want to get them both out of their and put in a better powerhead.(recomendations). Also i have to put in a heater. Would a 10 gallon heater be okay.
Any Suggestions on what to do next for a first timer with a Nano?

I use a Maxijet 900 as my return and i have a Tunze Mini in the display for added circulation.

I'd say that a heater rated for a 10g would be suficiant.

when are you going to get liverock in the system? the sooner you do the sooner you can get through the cycling process!

I am going to buy some LR online. I need about 20 more dollars to get aobut 10 pounds. I will probably be able to buy the rock online on the 25th. As soon as it comes im ready to drop it in. NOt sure what corals yet. I think im going to get some different lights. Also i have to replace the pump before I put in corals or fish so maybe two week before everything. It will be cycling for about 2 to 3 weeks and then addind corals.

adding live sand will help speed along ther cycvle, also if you took some water from your 20 gallon, lie kswitched 2 gallons from yer cube, took 2 gallons from the 20 and switched, it would speed it up a little too

Yeah i wwas wondering the same thing. How would you switch the pumps. Ht epump goes throught the topof the hood. The power cord does. Do you cut into the hood a little or what do you do to switch the pumps./
