7095 sequential mode
hi roger,
recently got my 7095 controller and am experimenting with the settings. was wondering about the sequential mode (which i really like). in the manual it states that its for shorter intervals which i'm guessing is the 0-60 seconds range. is it ok to run it at say 5 minutes instead? also, in the long run, is the sequential mode bad for the pumps because they are turned off/on? tim |

The draw back to on and off use is that while off two things can happen, first, the pump is normally a fraction of a degree C over ambient inside, when the pump turns off the heat from the core rises and the water gets much hotter inside- maybe 5C over ambient, at this temp the water precipitates a lto of calcium, granted only a few cc's are in the pump at any time but over time calcium will build up much faster. The other danger is animals entering the pump while it is off. It isn't the sort of thing that will destroy the pump, it just requires more cleaning.
