I want to get a pair of those dive goggles that allow you to choose your prescription lens before my Cozumel trip in April – nothing fancy. Who in Tampa (I am in Temple Terrace) has the best SCUBA prices?
Thanks

My opinion, I have been to several here in town, I would suggest Divers Supply on Gunn..... Before you go look at their website.

Hey, I know that store! Not only do I love their store in Largo (they always have a bushel of stuff that is clearing out fast at low prices) but their store on Gunn is the only one I have been to in Tampa, didn’t realize it was the same outfit!

I was never happy with Divers Supply when they had the shop on Hillsborough and Sheldon. No reason that I can really articulate other than I just didn't seem to hit it off with the people that worked there.
Pretty much the only store that I deal with is Mac's in Clearwater. That's not to say there aren't other good ones, I just really like them and stuck with 'em. They recently opened another location in the Carrollwood area. I believe it's a "trial" store that's setup as a ScubaPro outlet store (I'm not sure if they carry other brands there). I wouldn't consider Mac's to be the "best prices" though. But I'm comfortable paying a premium because of the pre and post sale support I've gotten from them.

there are two located off of bearss / ehrlich.
The one near 275 that used to be a wendy's, then a Chinese take out place, is pretty expensive from what I hear. The one that luminary is talking about is supposed to be a really good store. It is on the corner of Ehrlich and Dale Mabry. For the old time Tampa people, it is in the complex behind the former Barnett Bank. There is a Sylvan Learning center in the same complex as the dive store. My next door neighbor is a dive instructor there. His name is Joe. Mention me, Tripp, and he may be able to help you out. ![]() Look for the little dive flags on the side of the road. It is easy to pass. keep in mind it is at the corner of ehrlich and dale mabry (across from Macaroni Grill).
