Do You Use a Foam Base Under Your Acrylic Tank?
Just got off the phone with the LFS where I purchased my 55 gal. ClarityPlus acrylic tank and asked their opinion on using a 1/3 - 1/2" foam base under acrylic tanks.
His reply was they do not use nor recommend any type of foam base under the tank, and just to lay it on a flat piece of plywood and the tank will eventually conform itself to the surface of the base and be just fine. He also said if there is that much uneveness or gaps on the bottom of the tank that it required foam, that something was wrong with the tank and that it should simply sit flat on the wood. Do you agree with this?? |

I just use 2 layers of that drawer liner rubber mat stuff...pretty cheap and it gives it some leveling to the tank,..i use mine between my tank and its stand..
